Our Story

Meet Oz – Founder of Peach and Loom

Hi, I’m Oz – a proud mother of two, a dog mom, a woman entrepreneur, and the heart behind Peach and Loom. After more than 20 years in the corporate world across different industries and countries, I chose to follow my passion: building something meaningful and personal. I left behind the desk job to create a business rooted in authenticity, craftsmanship, and care.

Why Peach and Loom?

The name represents both my journey and my home. Peach stands for Georgia, where the idea for this brand was born and where I personally manage every part of the business. Loom reflects the weaving traditions that inspire my collections and connect us to centuries of artistry.

What Makes Us Different

Every product at Peach and Loom is handpicked by me in Turkiye from small businesses and local artisans. I work directly with the makers to bring you authentic, high-quality pieces that carry the story of their craftsmanship. Nothing is dropshipped – all items are stored and shipped from Georgia by me, ensuring that each order is handled with care. As a small business owner, I believe in creating a personal connection: I pack your orders myself and double-check every detail before sending them to you.

The Story of Turkish Weaving

Turkiye is a land where weaving has been part of life since ancient times. Archaeological findings in Çatalhöyük, dating back to 6,000 BC, prove that some of the earliest hand looms were created here. Over centuries, civilizations such as the Hittites, Phrygians, Lydians, Persians, Romans, and Byzantines all contributed to the evolution of weaving traditions.

Motifs in Turkish woven fabrics were often inspired by nature — tulips, carnations, and other floral patterns flourished during the 16th century. Dominant colors included rich reds, deep blues, golden yellows, and saffron tones, often arranged in geometric and vegetal patterns.

While weaving tools evolved over time — from primitive hand looms to power looms introduced in the mid-20th century — many Turkish textiles are still created by hand today. Peshtemals, traditionally made from cotton or silk, were once worn around the waist or used in Turkish hammams. Today, they’ve become versatile companions: towels, shawls, beach covers, or picnic blankets.

Why Turkish Fabrics Stand Out

Turkish textiles are special because of the fibers they are made from. Using high-quality, long-staple cotton and natural fibers, they create fabrics that are soft, absorbent, and long-lasting. Unlike mass-produced fabrics, they grow softer and more absorbent with each wash, remaining skin-friendly and durable for years to come.

At Peach and Loom, I’m proud to share this heritage with you — offering products that bring comfort, style, and timeless craftsmanship into your everyday life.
